Like-Minded People

Surrounding yourself with like-minded people is one of the greatest motivating forces in the world. They support you, they help you, they bounce ideas off you (and you off them), and best of all – they give you criticism when you really need to hear it.

This is why Napoleon Hill was able to write 100 pages on the power of the Mastermind – and why everyone should use them. In business, in your personal life, for your hobbies and passions.

Apart from the social value of having more friends, working with like-minded is great… you never hear “that won’t work”, you only hear “ok, how do we make this work?”.

I heard a little while ago of a concept called on ‘incubator’, which is basically a standard office environment – except all the people working there are solo or Internet entrepreneurs, who work there for the social aspect and – you guessed it -the ability to turn around, and ask that other guy typing away at his laptop, “Hey Mike, what do you think of this..”

The other advantage of being around like-minded people of course, is that you are able to cut out large amounts of negativity from your life. Like HUGE amounts of negativity. When you are around people who don’t inhabit the kind of world and reality you do, innovative ideas get shot down, brilliant insights get called stupid… all simply because they don’t approach life and their work from the same values as you do.
