Today marks the end of my 10-day positivity challenge.
The experience has been interesting~ the first couple of days were rough, I was constantly screening thoughts and what I was doing… but after days 4/5, it became really easy. It was like thinking on autopilot.
Indifference & remaining upbeat have helped tremendously – arguments, conflicts in viewpoints just don’t really matter anymore…
One realisation that I had is that you should never, ever, try to change or help people who don’t want to be helped. Don’t argue with them, don’t try to win them over, don’t try to convince them. Continue on your own path, pursuing your own goals, and if they want help, they’ll seek you out. I would say that this change in attitude has reduced my stress levels two-fold over the last couple of weeks, not to mention that it’s kept me positive for 10 days straight. Now let’s see if I can stay that way for… well… the rest of my life
